Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Hardlite website (hardlite.dev) and any services provided by Hardlite (operated by Szymon Kubisa, a sole trader based in London, UK). By using the website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

Hardlite provides frontend development services on a subscription basis. The specifics of each engagement — scope, deliverables, and access requirements — are agreed in writing (typically via email or the task board) at the start of the subscription.

Hardlite does not guarantee that services will be available at all times. We will communicate any planned interruptions in advance.

3. Subscription billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. The billing date is set at the start of the subscription. Invoices are issued via Stripe and payable within 7 days of issue.

Pausing: Subscriptions may be paused at any time. Billing stops immediately on the pause date and resumes when the subscription is reactivated.

Cancellation: Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time before the next billing date. No refunds are provided for the current billing period, but no further charges are made after cancellation.

4. Intellectual property

Upon full payment for each billing period, all work delivered during that period is owned by the client. Hardlite retains no rights to delivered code or designs.

Hardlite may use the existence of the engagement (not the code or confidential details) as part of its portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

5. Confidentiality

Hardlite treats all client code, product details, and business information as confidential. We do not share or discuss client-specific information with third parties. Clients are requested to treat any Hardlite internal processes or proprietary methods similarly.

6. Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing timely feedback on delivered work
  • Ensuring tasks are described with sufficient context to complete without blocking questions
  • Providing codebase access and credentials required to complete tasks
  • Ensuring delivered work is tested in their own environments before deployment to production

7. Limitation of liability

Hardlite's liability to you in connection with these terms or any services provided is limited to the amount paid in the preceding 30 days.

Hardlite is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of delivered code, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or revenue loss.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use Hardlite services to build software that facilitates illegal activity, violates third-party rights, or causes harm to others. Hardlite reserves the right to terminate services if this clause is violated.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email. Continued use of services after notification of a change constitutes acceptance.
